Armurerie Centrale

HighReportedRetail

Armurerie Centrale, which operates the armurerie-centrale.fr website, informed its customers of unauthorized access to its site that took place in September 2026 and was detected on 1 October 2026. The data potentially accessed includes full names, email addresses, dates of birth, postal addresses, phone numbers, order histories, messages exchanged with customer service and supporting documents customers may have uploaded to their accounts. Password hashes were also taken; the company states passwords are not stored in plain text. The number of affected customers has not been disclosed, and the exact nature of the supporting documents is not specified.

The combination of identity, contact details, date of birth and purchase history can be used for targeted phishing or identity fraud attempts, and the uploaded documents could widen these risks depending on their content.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Date of birth
  • Postal address
  • Phone number
  • Order history
  • Password (hashed)
  • Other personal data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Change that password — and everywhere you reused it. That is how a leak spreads to your other accounts.
  • Turn on two-factor authentication on the affected accounts: a stolen password is then no longer enough.
  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
