Paroisse Saint-Urbain–Sainte-Marie (Hauts-de-Seine)

LowReportedNonprofits

The Saint-Urbain–Sainte-Marie parish in the Hauts-de-Seine department told its parishioners about a security incident affecting personal data. According to its message, the data involved is, for now, mainly e-mail addresses. The number of people affected, the origin of the incident and the exact scope of the data have not been established, and investigations are ongoing. A fraudulent e-mail with an attachment named "INV28382-ORDER.pdf" has also been reported to recipients; the parish does not state whether it is linked to the leak.

Exposed parishioner e-mail addresses can be used to send them targeted phishing messages.

Exposed data

  • Email address

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
