SINEQUAE

CriticalReportedOther

The LAMASHTU group claims to have stolen about 65 GB of data, close to 80,000 files, from SINEQUAE, a company active in court bailiff (commissaire de justice) services. The claimed files include judicial and debt-collection case files, court decisions, identity documents, bank details (RIB, IBAN) and information on debts and payments, relating to individuals and businesses. In a statement dated 1 October 2026, FIDUCIAL said that one of its customers running software installed in its own environment suffered an intrusion, without naming that customer, and said it found no intrusion on its own systems.

Identity documents combined with bank details and debt information would let a malicious third party attempt identity theft, fraud or targeted phishing.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Identity document
  • Banking data (IBAN, card)
  • Postal address
  • Employment data
  • Other personal data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Watch your statements. On any unknown debit, block the card and request a refund — French law (art. L133-18) entitles you to it.
  • These documents enable identity theft, and cannot be reissued at will. Keep the notification letter: it proves where the leak came from if an account is opened in your name.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
