Région Centre-Val de Loire

CriticalConfirmedPublic sector

An individual using the alias Syrv4x published a database on 30 September 2026, on a cybercriminal forum, extracted from a regional tool used to track and pay vocational training trainees in Centre-Val de Loire. The database contains 6,768 rows, covering roughly 5,400 people, with records spanning 2017 to summer 2026. It includes trainees' identity, date of birth, address, phone number, email, French national ID number (NIR) and bank details (IBAN/BIC), along with their training history. As of 2 October 2026, the Région Centre-Val de Loire has not publicly addressed the incident, and the technical origin of the extraction remains unknown.

Combining a national ID number, full identity details and bank information enables identity theft and targeted banking fraud attempts against those affected.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Postal address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Social security number
  • Banking data (IBAN, card)
  • Employment data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • Watch your statements. On any unknown debit, block the card and request a refund — French law (art. L133-18) entitles you to it.
  • These documents enable identity theft, and cannot be reissued at will. Keep the notification letter: it proves where the leak came from if an account is opened in your name.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
