Activa Assurances

CriticalReportedInsurance

On September 23, 2026, a pseudonymous user offered for sale on a cybercrime forum a database attributed to Group-Activa.com, a pan-African insurance group operating in several countries. FrenchBreaches analyzed 18,764 of the 18,765 claimed rows, split between policyholder and beneficiary records, and estimates that roughly 10,758 distinct individuals can be identified after deduplication. Records include identities, contact details, dates of birth and contract information, with some entries also containing an ID document number or a blood-type field. The organization has not issued any public statement on the incident to date.

The possible link between an individual, their insurance contract and their employer could allow attackers to craft highly personalized targeted phishing attempts.

Exposed data

  • Identity document
  • Full name
  • Date of birth
  • Postal address
  • Phone number
  • Health data
  • Other personal data

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • These documents enable identity theft, and cannot be reissued at will. Keep the notification letter: it proves where the leak came from if an account is opened in your name.
  • Health data is “special category” data under the GDPR: a leak opens a right to compensation, and the organisation must notify the DPA within 72 hours.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
