A hacking claim published on 22 September 2026 by an individual using the pseudonym Quantique states that data was extracted from MesMarches.fr, a French platform connecting exhibitors with organisers of markets and trade fairs, by probing one of the site's APIs. The claimed database reportedly holds 2,535 exhibitor account records, mixing information sometimes already public (name, location, professional activity) with internal data such as password hashes, account identifiers and login information. MesMarches.fr had not publicly confirmed the incident as of this entry.
The combination of email addresses, phone numbers, professional contact details and password hashes could allow a third party to target accounts through phishing or attempt to crack the passwords to access other services reusing the same credentials.

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.
What you can do
- Change that password — and everywhere you reused it. That is how a leak spreads to your other accounts.
- Turn on two-factor authentication on the affected accounts: a stolen password is then no longer enough.
- Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
- You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
