Suffolk County Sheriff's Department

CriticalConfirmedHealthcare

A cybersecurity incident affected the electronic health record system used by Suffolk County's two Massachusetts jails: the Suffolk County House of Correction and the Nashua Street Jail in Boston. The platform, called EHRs-C, is operated by Computer Systems Integrated Inc., a company affiliated with Correctional Psychiatric Services (CPS Healthcare), the correctional healthcare provider for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Department. The provider confirmed the incident on September 17, 2026, and said it is investigating with cybersecurity and legal experts, without disclosing how many records or what specific data were exfiltrated.

If exploited by a third party, exposed psychiatric and medical data of incarcerated individuals could disclose their health status without consent.
