Maritim Hotelgesellschaft

ModerateConfirmedOther

Amadeus, publisher of the iHotelier hotel reservation system, detected unusual activity on an API on September 11, 2026. The incident affected bookings at several iHotelier client hotels; the German group Maritim Hotelgesellschaft notified 8,716 guests by email on September 17, 2026. Exposed data includes name, address, email, phone number, reservation number and stay details, covering bookings from August 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027. Payment card, bank and identity document data were not affected.

The combination of identity, contact details and precise reservation data (dates, amount) enables highly credible phishing messages impersonating the hotel or Amadeus.

Exposed data

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Postal address
  • Customer ID
  • Order history

You are only affected if you had an account or an order with this organisation.

What you can do

  • Expect phishing attempts quoting your name and this company. A message that knows your details is not legitimate for that reason.
  • You can ask the organisation exactly what was exposed about you (right of access), and complain to the DPA if no answer comes within a month.
