Privacy policy — InYourGeek video publishing tool
The tool that publishes InYourGeek's videos to TikTok and YouTube has a single user, its publisher, and processes only the data of its own accounts. It neither sells nor shares that data, except with the platform receiving the video.

The Tool
This policy describes the data processed by the InYourGeek video publishing tool (the “Tool”), presented in the terms of service: a command-line program run on the publisher's computers that publishes InYourGeek's videos to its TikTok and YouTube accounts. Its only user is the publisher, and the only data it processes is that of these accounts.
It does not concern visitors to the inyourgeek.com website, whose data is described in the website privacy policy.
Publisher and data controller
The Tool is published by SOULIER Sébastien EI, the data controller, whose details are given in the legal notice.
YouTube and TikTok services used
The Tool uses YouTube API Services, as well as TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API. Using the Tool means publishing to these platforms: as its terms of service state, its user agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the TikTok Terms of Service.
What these platforms do with the data they receive is governed by their own policies: Google Privacy Policy, TikTok Privacy Policy.
Data accessed: what the Tool receives from the platforms
- TikTok: the account identifier specific to the Tool (
open_id), basic profile information (username, display name, avatar), the account's posting options (available privacy levels, comment, duet and stitch settings, maximum video duration), the status of each post, and access and refresh tokens; - YouTube: the channel's identifier and name — to check it is InYourGeek's —, its playlists, the details of the videos the Tool publishes or updates (title, description, tags, status, scheduled date, synthetic content disclosure), and access and refresh tokens.
Data sent to the platforms
The video file, its title, description or caption, tags and playlist, its privacy level and publication date, interaction settings, and the AI-generated content disclosure.
Use and sharing
This data is used solely to publish and schedule InYourGeek's videos on its own accounts, to display the destination account and settings before each post, and to check the result. It is not used for advertising, profiling or training any AI model. It is never sold, rented or shared — except with the platform concerned, which receives it to publish the video.
Storage and retention
- Access tokens are stored only on the publisher's computers, in a configuration file readable by the publisher's user account only, outside any code repository and outside the server hosting the site. They are kept as long as the authorization is active.
- Profile information and posting options are read at posting time and are not kept.
- A local log of posts (the video's identifier on the platform, publication date, playlist) keeps track of what has been published. It contains no profile data, and each entry is deleted when the video is removed from the platform.
- None of this data is stored on the site's server or in any online database.
Cookies, devices and advertising
The Tool sets no cookies and accesses no device other than the publisher's computers. During authorization, TikTok's or Google's sign-in screen opens in a browser: it is operated by the platform concerned. No third party serves content or advertising through the Tool.
Revoking access
On YouTube: from the Google Account permissions page. On TikTok: in the app, under security and permissions settings, among authorized apps and services. The Tool can then no longer read or publish anything, and the tokens and data received from the platform are deleted from the publisher's computers within 7 days.
Legal basis and location
Legal basis: the publisher's legitimate interest in distributing its own videos (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Location: tokens remain in France, on the publisher's computers. Data sent to TikTok and Google is processed by those platforms, possibly outside the European Union, under their own policies.
Your rights
The rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, are exercised as set out in the website privacy policy.
